It’s an exciting day! After playing many hot clubs in New York City, I am embarking on my first ever tour in the US, playing 16 gigs from Boston to Nashville in local clubs with my musicians Segev ‘Sunny’ Haroosh on guitars and Ofer ‘Cozy’ Levy on percussion. Check out the Live page and please join us somewhere!! There will be more dates added later on.
I have also recorded an acoustic EP in my home studio with 6 favorite live songs, you can already listen to them on my Music page. We will be bringing the EP on tour with us so if you want to get a unique musical souvenir you can find it at the clubs near you
We will also bring our first Loren Benjamin Tees and I hope you like them.
I will update you regularly during our trip:

So… after gigging all over New York and writing dozens of songs, it was about time to start recording my first album…
My manager came up to me and said ok Loren, give me a list of the top 5 producers that in your wildest dreams you would have wanted to work with..
We need to start somewhere. Let’s start from there. Aim high. You never know…:)

OK…so although I thought it was a ridiculous thing to do, I took the task very seriously and after a few days of research, listening and going over all the albums that had created my life’s soundtrack, I finally made it.
An ‘A’ list of 5 producers, a dream team of people that have worked with the biggest and best. People that have created masterpieces that we all listen to today.
I gave it to my manager.<!>
And life continued…

After almost forgetting about it…
I get a call a few weeks later from my manager:
“Hey Loren we’re having dinner this week with someone I want you to meet.”
I said “great! who am I meeting?…”
Who was I meeting?…
I was meeting the F-I-R-S-T name I wrote down on that list!
A very special guy named Steve Jordan.
You may or may not have heard of him but you definitely heard his genius work.
The album that he produced, that made me put his name first!
Is the critically acclaimed Grammy award winning album called Continuum, by John Mayer, Which is in my opinion maybe the best album that came out in the last decade and definitely one the best albums I have ever heard in my entire life.
To cut the story short…
Here’s a pic from the studio a few days ago with Steve…:)
not only is he a real genius he is also an a incredible man!
Hey, you never know…:)
Wish us luck!:)

Loren

Hello everyone, hope all is well. I’ve been busy as always working on some new songs and I’m really looking forward to getting out tonight and playing a few for you at The Bitter End. It’s going to be an acoustic set – which is a relatively new and still evolving experience for me, but definitely exciting. It’s nice to see how the songs work with only two guitars and percussion. Simple is always good, I say. With all the small, intimate clubs in New York it also gives me more opportunities to play out and connect with new crowds. My friend Christina at LROCK Entertainment got me started with my first acoustic set here about two months ago and has been kind enough to set me up with some more awesome acoustic gigs – Rockwood, Wicked Willy, Zirzamin and now at The Bitter End. The Bitter End is definitely worth checking out – it’s a cool atmosphere and has hosted some amazing artists since it opened more than 50 years ago and I’m excited to be a part of it. Come on down – it’s at 147 Bleecker St. It looks like I’m going to hit the stage around 8 p.m. and I hope to see you all there!

With love,
Loren
